In most cases, our body knows how to keep us safe. But traumatic experiences can disrupt this feeling of safety, resulting in a feeling of threat or overstimulation. As a means of self-preservation, we separate or dissociate. This can run very deep, to the point where we don’t even realize what our body is holding onto, and our body and mind enter a perpetual state of disequilibrium. This is where Trauma-Informed Yoga can bring forth positive change.
If you identify with this, please contact us so we can help you on a path toward healing. We strongly recommend you permit us to collaborate with your other medical professionals, as Trauma-Informed Yoga works best with a multidisciplinary approach.
