General Questions

I’m still a bit confused about Artsy & Me’s services. What if just want to take yoga classes? Or I’m only interested in private music lessons? Is Artsy & Me the right place?

Yes! The Artsy & Me team is comprised of professional musicians, some of whom are also yoga instructors. So as an organization, we offer independent music services as well as yoga classes. You can choose to sign-up for just one of these (i.e., music or yoga). Or you can reach out to us for services that integrate these two, such as Yoga for Musicians.

I’m not quite sure what I’m looking for. Do you offer trial sessions?

Yes! Before signing up for our group classes, try one for free! (One-time offer only.)

Every now and then, we also offer free online classes. Register for our newsletter and subscribe to our social media platforms to make sure you don’t miss these offers!

Am I eligible to sign up for any of your classes?

At Artsy & Me, we believe music and yoga should be available to everyone. Therefore, most of our classes and sessions are open to all! Even in group settings, the Artsy & Me team can often tailor to your needs.

There are a few exceptions. For example, Yoga by Age, Guardians with Young Children, and our Summer Camp have age restrictions. And for our group music projects, we often ask that you have at least one year of playing experience.

What are your rates? Do you offer discounts?

What is your cancellation policy?

After you have registered for a group session, we generally do not offer refunds, unless there are extenuating circumstances.

If you are unable to attend a planned individual session, then please contact your instructor 24 hours in advance. We will try to reschedule with you. If you do not contact us within that 24-hour time frame, we will charge you for the session.

What can I do in case of technical failure during an online class?

If you experience internet problems, contact us as soon as possible (e.g., by phone). We can try to reschedule your appointment. In the case of a group session, we can give you access to the recording.

If you experience problems with applications and/or software that we use during our sessions, contact us and we’ll do our best to help!

Summer Camp 2023 Questions

What travel arrangements do I need to make for the 2023 Summer Camp?

Please make your own arrangements to Ålesund, Norway, including visa requirements and travel insurance. We’ve got you covered from the airport, train, or bus station!

May I choose to stay at a different hotel, other than the Scandic Parken?

We do not recommend this. All rehearsals and evening activities will take place there, so for team-building purposes, we strongly suggest all participants stay at the Scandic Parken. Also, Artsy & Me cannot provide child supervision at other sites.

Can I join the Summer Camp for a few days, rather than the full week?

No. The activities and rehearsals during the Summer Camp really build on each other, so we expect all participants to be present for the full week.

Can I get a refund if I suddenly cannot make it to Summer Camp?

No refunds will be given after the dates specified on the invoices.

Are parents and teachers welcome to join the Summer Camp?

Parents and teachers are welcome to be present at the Summer Camp, at their own expense and through their own arrangements.

Upon request, hotel reservations can be made through the event, with event pricing. We can also include you in dinners, providing we receive early notice.

The activities we organize are really for the students only, but we could use volunteers with logistics, sectionals, and more! Please contact us if you’d like to get involved!

And of course, we encourage everyone to attend the Gala Concert. We will also attempt to live-stream this event.
