Our Summer Band and Orchestra Camp will largely take place at two, centrally-located venues:
- Rehearsal venue (also our camp hotel)
- Concert venue
Some of our meals and activities will also take place there. Others will be at some exciting places!
Rehearsal Venue
The Scandic Parken will be our main rehearsal venue. Conveniently, this will also be our camp hotel.
In addition to being a great rehearsal venue (allowing for sectionals and more!), the Scandic Parken offers easy access to many cultural sites. This is great for our planned activities, as well as for our non-participants looking for something to explore while we are in rehearsal.
Concert Venue
Our Gala Concert and final rehearsals will take place at the Volsdalen Kirke, a beautiful church just outside of the city center.
Artsy & Me will transport all large materials from the rehearsal venue to this concert venue. Weather-permitting, we will ask students to walk to this venue from the hotel. Part of the Norway experience is being outside!
